Draw. MEC will perform a random draw on October 22, 2018 at 12 :00 p.m. (EST), among all eligible entries received throughout the duration of the contest, at its satellite head office (4100 rue Molson, Bureau 330, Montréal (Québec) H1Y 3N1) in order to select the potential winner of the contest.
Prize. There is a single grand prize to be won among one of the following three getaways, as selected by the winner (but subject to the conditions outlined below) :
Family Camping Dream Weekend (approximate value of $1900) :
1 gift card for $1500 to be spent at MEC
2 nights in ready-to-camp for a family (maximum 6 persons) in a Sépaq establishment during the 2019 season, including daily access fees to the national park, if applicable (under Sépaq control (including wildlife preserves)) where ready-to-camp is available, as well as a $100 gift certificate for one or several activities of your choice.
Couples’ Relaxing Ski Escape (approximate value of $2556):
1 gift card for $1500 to be spent at MEC
1 three night stay for 2 people in a hotel room at the Tour des Voyageurs, at the Lodge de la Montagne or at the Place St-Bernard, depending on availability. Certain restrictions with respect to dates apply.
2 ski days for 2 people at the Mont Tremblant ski resort, including First Tracks access. Ski passes valid all season long, from November 22, 2018 until April 22, 2019.
1 gift card for $100 for the Spa Scandinave Mont-Tremblant
Sporting Escapade Among Friends (approximate value of $4875):
1 gift card for $1500 to be spent at MEC
1 stay with the Bustel de Voyage Grand V for you and 14 of your friends (which includes transport by a Voyage Grand V (Bustel) bus), camping accommodations, meals and activities. Prize is valid for the 2019 season (between April 1 and December 1, 2019), depending on availability at the time of reservation. The choice of destination will have to be made according to Quebec offerings (Eastern Quebec 4 days, Western Quebec 4 days, Northern Quebec 4 days, or at the choice of Voyage Grand V).
The winner can only select one of the packages described above, must accept it as awarded (no substitutions) and cannot create an individualized package based on elements offered in the different packages. The chosen package cannot be sold, transferred, or converted into cash.
Purchases of MEC products or services must be made by a member of the cooperative. A winner that is not a member will therefore need to become one in order to use the gift certificate awarded to make purchases. The gift card can, however, be used to cover the $5 membership fee, at the time of first purchase.
The descriptions of the packages above are exhaustive and contain all elements which will be offered to the winner and the winner’s excursion companions. All supplementary expenses of any kind, including, for example, transport, transfer, meal and additional lodging costs, as well as taxes or fees related to insurance coverage which are not explicitly mentioned above are at the sole expense of the winner and/or the winner’s excursion companion.
The activities and the lodging associated with the selected package are subject to availability and to the operating periods of the relevant businesses. In addition to the non-available dates explicitly mentioned above, the activities and lodging during certain peak periods, including holidays, for example, may not be available to the winner.
All elements of the selected package (with the exception of the gift cards) must be used by the winner and the winner’s companion during the same single stay and during the validity period indicated in subparagraphs 7(a), 7(b) and 7(c) above, in accordance with the package selected (the « Validity Period of the Package »).
In this regard, the winner will have to submit to MEC, within thirty (30) days of having been contacted by MEC, a selection of 4 stay periods during the Validity Period of the Package in order to benefit from the prize. MEC will then confirm the choice of dates to the winner and will transmit to the winner the elements of the selected package. The final decision with respect to dates is at the complete discretion of MEC.
If the winner fails to choose these dates within the thirty (30) day period required, MEC will then proceed to a second random draw among the eligible entries received, in order to determine a new winner, who will be bound to these same rules.
Excursion companions. Excursion companions who will accompany the winner must meet the following criteria :
Be a Quebec resident having reached the age of majority on the entry date (with the exception of the Family Camping Dream Weekend);
Not be an employee, representative, mandatary, director or officer of MEC, or an immediate family member (spouse, parent, brother, sister or child) or a person domiciled with an employee, representative, mandatary, director or officer of MEC;

Cancellation. Subject to the approval by the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux, MEC may cancel, modify, extend or suspend the contest if, for any reason, MEC cannot carry out the contest as planned. In such case, MEC can award the prize randomly among all eligible entries received up until the time of interruption, or elect not to award a prize.
Publicity. Except where prohibited by law, participation in the contest constitutes the winner’s consent to the use by MEC of the winner’s name, city of residence, and photograph for promotional purposes, without further notice, permission, payment or consideration.
